The purpose
The Foundation BLANCEFLOR Boncompagni-Ludovisi, née Bildt supports
research and post-graduate education for Swedish or Italian nationals
under 35 years.
Areas of Research
Research may be in physics including geophysics and astrophysics; chemistry
including geochemistry; dentistry, medicine, engineering, data technology
or similar disciplines where international exchange might be of special
value.
The Foundation does not support studies in economics, law, marketing,
advertising, design, architecture, history, theatre, dance, psychology,
astronomy, zoology, archaeology or geology.
Eligibility
The Foundation primarily awards substantial grants to post-graduate students
or those with an advanced degree for longer periods of study away from
one´s homeland in the USA, Sweden, Italy, Switzerland, England,
Germany, Japan or Canada. Grants are not awarded for undergraduate study,
nor to groups or organizations, but only to individuals. According to
Swedish law, they are not subject to tax.
Application Form
Application forms are available on the Foundation´s home page, at
universities, or from the address above.
Closing Date
Completed application forms shall arrive to the address above by March
1st each year.
Notification of Award
Successful applicants are normally informed during May. Those who hear
nothing before the end of May have not been awarded a grant.
Reporting Results
Acceptance of a grant entails the obligation to provide a written report
to the Foundation within six months of completion of the studies.
